Yeah that pimento cheese chicken sandwich, which looks terrible, commercial has some gay guy talking about the sandwich in it.
They are being blatant with that commercial. They could not have found a more queer looking, sounding dude to be in that commercial
That commercial screams, we like gays too
fricking weird

I tried. It’s not good. They need to stop doing the same things that publicly traded companies do like constantly invent new shitty products to try to drive stock price.
Just make the ten or so items that are awesome and everyone loves and print the money. Don’t get spread so thin.

That’s just it, though. They aren’t “awesome.” They make a decent chicken sandwich, but it’s never something that I seek out.

Eh. Their basic chicken sandwich is the goat and is consistent from one store to the next.
Now, if you like spicy, you gotta go to Popeyes for that spicy chicken sandwich.

Pretty sure those commercials have doubled down on emphasizing their whole thing about being the most caring company in the world. Not some drastic pivot in message from the past.
If you understood advertising you’d understand that the changes I noted are “a drastic pivot in message from the past”. These companies are spending millions of dollars on ad campaigns because the messaging is more complicated than the words that are coming out of actors’ mouths. If you’re oblivious to it that’s fine, but it doesn’t change what’s going on and you asking people a bunch of rhetorical questions that you know they can’t answer doesn’t make you any less wrong

I bet you can't go a day without using the word "woke." God forbid an ad has someone that doesn't look like you.

What's the problem with that exactly? Having a white, black, Asian, etc person would mean the same thing, right? All sorts of people visit restaurants. People are really grasping at straws just for the sake of being offended.

What's their core consumer exactly? These restaurants are in every state, so it's not limited to just middle aged white males. Crazy, I know.
