Our government is consistently growing and invading our privacies and liberties. We gripe online and call it a day, and some of us even see a person (Snowden) who tried to expose this as a traitor. It’s almost like we’re welcoming oppression. Both Dems and Reps, they each like big government and welcome more intrusion and less liberty.
The Hong Kong protestors aren’t just blogging about it. They’ve taken to the streets to defend their liberty against an oppressive government. That used to be the American spirit.

Hardships? Do you know much about Hong Kong? It’s an extremely wealthy, well educated city. They are facing an encroaching oppressive government by fighting back. We seem to welcome our oppressive government just so long as the right propaganda spin is put on it.

The 39 second clip you saw on YouTube doesn’t make you a fricking expert on anything. It makes you sound like a bigger fricking idiot when you try to say some Hong Kong student fighting China is more American than Americans. The problem for those people since they don't have real weapons is when China gets tired of their shite and rolls the army in. No one will do a thing about it, not Europe and not the US. We won't risk an all out war to protect them.
