I don't. Not anymore. It was useful during the colonial period, but not anymore.

This is how anyone peddling religion door to door should be treated - A few warning arrows, and if you can't take the hint, maybe god is calling you home.

One of the reasons that the island is off limits is to protect the people there from disease.

If only there were a mechanism that could protect people from disease. Maybe something that contained dead viruses so the immune system could prepare for live ones.

Ha, If only...

He didn't whine baw. He knew there was a high likelihood he was going to be killed.

From his own notes: "doing this to establish the kingdom of Jesus on the island...Do not blame the natives if I am killed."

Funny, everyone blames this intruder for trespassing and says he deserved to die. Yet, here in America those who want to protect the homeland and make people enter according to our laws are considered cruel and heartless.

Fify

Why are people calling them savages? Don't we have "stand your ground" laws in the US that allows this exact scenario in the event someone is trespassing on your property?

In Dawkins v. State (2011) the court describes "[T]he 'stand your ground' law... provide[s] that a person has a right to expect absolute safety in a place they have a right to be, and may use deadly force to repel an intruder... for a person to be justified in using deadly force, the person must not be 'engaged in unlawful activity".

quote:

Castle Doctrine: No duty to retreat before using deadly force (use of deadly force against intruders is legal in most situations); limited to real property, such as your home, yard, or private office; some states, like Missouri and Ohio, even include personal vehicles.
