A recent report from moveBuddha, a relocation tech company, ranked the least popular states to move to in 2022.

The 2022 Mid-Year Migration Report used data collected from January 1 to July 5, 2022, via the company’s moving cost calculator.

moveBuddha compared the inflow to the outflow of people state to state to see which places are gaining new residents and which are losing their current population.

No one in their right mind wants to move to a Democrat run state.

Utah being in the top 10 is surprising. Also, Louisiana is too low

Hmm... I would have guessed Utah was on the other end of that list

I'm shocked to see Utah on the list. St George, Utah has been the fastest growing city in America for something like 13 years in a row.

Well, the OT is triggered that their beloved Utah is above LA.

Top five are no surprise due to high taxes in all.

If you can get a job that will let you telecommute, why stay in one of those states?

Housing prices I'm guessing. They ran pretty hard the past 2 years

Utah and Alberta are the only states/provinces that could get me to move from Idaho.

Last year we did some work for a guy who had moved from Utah to Louisiana. He could work remotely and this is where he chose to live. It takes all kinds.

Isn’t Utah one of the states where it is illegal to buy a dildo?

I seem to recall someone posting a story once about the things most sold by state line convenience stores. For LA-TX, it was lottery tickets IIRC. Utah? Dildos.

Virginia, why would anyone want to live there, especially on the outskirts of DC?

Agreed. Utah is easily the most picturesque state I've been too.

Much of Virginia is beautiful and nothing like the DC suburbs.

There are some beautiful areas in VA, including Roanoke and Williamsburg.
