There's a little-known way to get a ton of food at Chipotle for under $5

Chipotle has a menu hack that lets you order a ton of food for under $5.
It's been hiding in plain sight for years: It's called the kids menu.
The menu isn't readily advertised on Chipotle's menu boards, so it's easy to overlook.
You can get tacos or a quesadilla, a drink, and chips — all for $3.75 to $4.75. That's much cheaper than the average order at Chipotle, which is around $12.
We visited a Chipotle in Richmond, Virginia, to see just how much food comes with the kids meal.
We ordered a kids' "build-your-own" taco plate.
With that option, customers get one protein, two fillings (like rice, fajita veggies, and cheese), two hard taco shells or tortillas, a small bag of chips or fruit, and a drink (soda, juice, or milk).
We ordered chicken, red chili salsa, rice, soft flour tortillas, chips, and soda.
The total cost? A shockingly cheap $4.75.
Ordering those exact same items from the adult menu would cost $7.90, which is about 40% more expensive.

I would kick a adult out of my restraunt for trying to order off the kids menu. Then call you trashy on the way out.

No, only kids with jobs.

I would never do it because I eat way more than what a kid's meal would ever give me (and I agree it's trashy if your trying to get the same amount of food for cheaper), but if an adult is legit just going to eat the amount on a kids menu then why make them order more than they can eat in an adult meal (assuming that kids get less food hence the lower price).
My mother-in-law is in the neighborhood of 70 and I swear I don't know how that woman ever eats enough to fuel her body. She'll legit eat 1/4 of a normal sized sandwich and a chip or two and be full. Further, she only eats twice a day on most days.

That plate looks like crap.

Schlotzky's used to (may still?) have a kid's pizza that you could get for around $3 and it was the same as the normal cheese pizza that was $5. Plus I think they tossed in a cookie for the kids.

Double steak half rice hot salsa burrito bowl with sour cream on the side FTW.
Most chipotles it's high schoolers or college kids working with what appears to be minimal supervision taking place. So I could see someone getting away with ordering off the kids menu.
There is also a secret menu at chipotle. Some dude ordered a quesidiliaurrito. A burrito inside a quesidilla. Talk about a weeks worth of sodium.

I sometimes order a kids pizza at Newk's. It's cheap and delicious, and includes a drink.

I wouldn't even eat that for free. Looks terrible.

I don't know what part of the country they're in, but chipotle usually costs me between 7-8 bucks.
