Only one poster, upgray, has provided any scientific argument to make the counterpoint against what I am citing, which is from dozens maybe hundreds of websites.
I could tweet out that Mitt Romney and Bibi had a threesome with Michael Brown's body and it would get picked up by thousands of websites, but that would not make it true.

You know nothing about the science so what is there to debate. You listened to a podcast and found a few links, but if you seriously believe that Katrina was manmade or controlled by technology you need to be committed.
There was a manmade aspect to the Katrina disaster and that was decades of ignoring the conditon of the levee's in new orleans, thousands of ppl deciding not to evacuate when a cat 5 storm was headed their way, and the fact that the GWB, Blanco, and Nagin were in charge of the aftermath (talk about a idiot's threesome). However the storm Katrina was simply a thunderstorm that traveld from Africa across the atlantic, it gained energy from the warm waters and strengthened into a hurricane, it slowed down due to natural forces and got even stronger from the warm GOM and made landfall.

I wish I could've caught this thread early on, we could've had an intelligent discussion. For the most part I agree with you; I mean, I know some folks who lived by the levees that always tell me they heard the explosions.

Did you hear about the leprechaun they found In a tree in Mobile? This was before Katrina. The odd thing about it... Not a single leprechaun sighting has been made since Katrina. How do you explain that? I'll tell you how... You don't cause you can't.

Tap the brakes, buddy - He was so bad, I would take ANY democrat SECDEF since the position was established over him - except McNamara and Les Aspin.
That is the highest insult I can pay him.

I don't know which is the scarier thought, that fact that you can reproduce or the fact that you can vote?

That's fair
That statement was made only for within the context of the arguement over man made hurricanes.

Have a well deserved down-vote for being a complete loon.

You naysayers need to wake up. This type of technology has been around since the 80s. Destro, who I believe left Cobra and now works for the U.S. gvmnt, brought along his Weather Dominator and has proceeded to wreak havoc at the musings of the world elite.

Heather, you need to STFU, get back in the kitchen, make a sammich and hand it to the first man you see.

One of these is not like the other.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Blanco and Nagin tell Bush nut to help?

Not sure about that....but I did read that Blanco waited until right before the storm to request federal assistance.
There was a lot of hope in Baton Rouge that the storm would weaken and/or track significantly east from where it made landfall. I guess they were waiting until it was more definitive.
There were not clear evacuation procedures like there was during Gustav....not that it would have helped. So many near misses where the state got lucky in the past had made a lot of people in harm's way kind of skeptical. Totally different attitude now. People on the gulf coast take storm warnings seriously now.

I was waiting for "Open the door, get on the floor, Everybody walk the dinosaur" at the end of the OP. No way anyone wrote all that with any bit of seriousness.
If we could control the weather, why would anyone use it to destroy a city to "make billions"? You could buy cheap land in the middle of nowhere and change the weather to grow damn near any crops you wanted. I mean the possibilities are almost endless. Whose first thought would be, let's destroy a city? I remember having a discussion in college with a few civil engineer friends who predicted a Katrina like event if a Hurricane were to hit NOLA the right way a few years before it happened. They were right. We didn't need any sci-fi BS to make it a possibility.
