After reading the divorce attorney thread from yesterday I'm curious if anyone can recommend a good therapist to deal with post divorce and everyday crap.

I am sure costs will be three fifty and hour and it's thrashy to see a therapist.

This is the best site. If you’re not in BR just such where you are. You can read all their profiles and see who you like. LINK

There are also lots of good articles. And remember you’re not locked into a therapist. If you don’t click with the first one, keep shopping

I googled first and ran across that site. Thank you for sharing. It just seems like a shot in the dark. Should I select a man or women? I'm a man.

I prefer a male therapist. I think they know what they’re doing more

It’s a personal choice. Where are you located? I could reach out to some professionals in your area. I am in the field. I’d recommend a man because he will get where you’re coming from.

I know in the Austin area it takes forever to get in to see someone. Then not everyone takes insurance. I’m actually on a waiting list for a couples counselor now .

Man screw these OT snobs about being “trashy” about asking for a therapist. I should talk to someone but 1) I can’t afford it and 2). Even if I could I’m too much of a misanthrope to go through with it. Just ignore the OT snobs on the “trashy” bs man. Somebody will come through with a good recommendation.

“I prefer a male therapist. I think they know what they’re doing more”.

This....saw a female therapist for a few months and got absolutely nowhere.

If you are in Baton Rouge try Doug Leyda or Kevin Credeur. Both are good therapists and good guys. I know them professionally and personally.
