Those numbers are calculated from deaths in countrys like IRAN, you godamn Jake leg.
Or are you saying the US health care, and Public health systems are comparable to third rate shite holes with medicine men and open air meat markets.
Idiot.

I'm not denying reality, my friend. I'm simply going off what everyone has been saying in the megathread and the data that currently exists out there on the internet. The symptoms are very flu-like. Any young person who wakes up with those classic symptoms will likely call in sick, take some motrin, and stay in bed until their fever breaks and the sickness passes. I had flu-like symptoms while home for Christmas and didn't visit the doctor. I was over it in three days.
We know it doesn't really prey on the young and rarely even manifests symptoms in children. So there is a great chance that there are literally thousands of Americans walking around with the virus right now who will never know they ever had it.
None of this fits the narrative. Stop making things up

The swine flu infected between 11-21% of the total global population. That would be 700 million - 1.4 billion people who contracted the swine flu. And yet, no panic
Yea because it had:
- a 0.4% hospitalization rate
- a 0.02% fatality rate
- And immediate development of a known to be effective vaccine
Why is it so hard to understand?
The mortality rate from the number out of China were more than 100x higher based on the numbers you posted
This means in order for it to be equal to the swine flu: China’s numbers are 100x off
Italy’s numbers are 200x off
And Korea’s numbers are 50x off
At what point does the data become overwhelming?

Are you saying they’re not reporting accurate numbers?
Unequivocally yes....simply because it's impossible for them to know the number of people infected.

Sure it does. 0.6% fatality is because of one single reason. This is really deadly for the elderly because it’s more likely to be worse for them. With swine flu, the death rate was 0.02% solely because it seemed to infect more working age people... healthier people. So, overall, this is 30 times more deadly than swine. But only because of how it affects the old people. It’s actually less deadly than the regular flu for 0-20 year olds. The context is relevant.

It's almost like we've learned from other pandemics how to slow them down to save lives and are doing what we can to do that.

I’m saying that even using conservative numbers, this could be a big issue that warrants caution.
But keep denying reality and burying your head in the sand. I hope it works out for you

And you don’t think the World Health Organization has factored that into their figures?

I am surprised you disagree with our presidents doctors on this.

My bad. The WHO latest estimate (Mar 3) has it at 3.4%.
Are you saying they’re not reporting accurate numbers?
The WHO loves situations like this.
They gain funding and people pay attention to them.
If there is any organization out there that will play this situation up more than the US media, it is the WHO.

Hell yeah it does, nothing can stop that guy. Not the world’s leading health officials, not the stats, not the insane potential something like this has, nothing. He sees right through it like a real man.
If thousands of people need medical attention where he lives he’ll just say quit yer bitchin and whip up a new hospital like an alpha would.

I know all this. And posted something similar in the MSB.

Of course it is. Weird how you only address that to me. Not to those denying reality, showing no knowledge of context.

0.6% is a hell of a lot different than 3.4%

Maybe the most interesting point of this entire virus event, is the lack of give-a-frick for the elderly. Even those folks that downplay this virus as muh flu, acknowledge that it kills the elderly at a high rate. frick the old folks, I wanna live muh life!
There's been so many statistics posted on how big of a problem this virus is, so you've got to be severely inept intellectually or you're in stage 3 denial. This virus is a problem for our healthcare system and we absolutely should take severe measures to limit the spread.
The goal post has been moving the entire time the virus has been spreading. Before long it'll be
"60+ year olds are almost dead anyway, let's pile them all into stadiums and the rest of us can live!"
I guarantee threads like this won't age well. I legit pray for warm weather to dampen this thing down, because if Italy is any measuring stick, the hospitals have a legit chance of being overwhelmed.
"muh fearcasting; you want this spread; go hide in your bunker; we didn't do this for __________"
