[img] The White House indicated Tuesday that Spotify’s attempts to address what they described as coronavirus “misinformation” on podcaster Joe Rogan’s interviews was not a strong enough response to the freedom of speech controversy. Spotify announced a decision Sunday to include content advisory warnings on Rogan’s interviews about the coronavirus pandemic with sources dissenting from the government narrative about the virus. “It’s a positive step but more can be done,” White House press secretary Jen Psaki said during the daily briefing on Tuesday. Spotify acted to address the situation after musicians Neil Young and Joni Mitchell asked the company to remove their music from their platform as part of a protest of Rogan’s interviews. But Psaki called on technology and media platforms to do more to censor what she described as “misinformation” about the virus. “That certinaly includes Spotifly (sic) she said, mispronouncing the tech platform’s name. I just want Rogan to unleash hell on all of these snowflakes

I'm amazed at how many people on this board think that the right are the fascists when the current administration is teaming with private businesses to promote a particular political ideology

But the usual suspects on here tell me the left isn't trying to censor anyone

Seems rather authoritarian.

Shame there isn't a Political Board for these kind of topics.

Nothing new, Peppermint Patty Psaki has said on multiple occasions with a smile on her face how they go to Facebook and tell them who to censor. The left has become everything they accused Trump of being.

Ellishughtiger will be here soon to tell us that no one is censoring anyone and it's just private businesses doing what they want.

Piss off. This type of shite goes beyond the political board

this is more important than the political board my friend

This is known as wink and nod government censorship
The government isn't doing the censoring first hand, but they are definitely trying to encourage it

Amazing to see a free thinking, left leaning individual now targeted as the enemy of the left.
The free thinking part, in any form, is what they can't tolerate.

You'll have to forgive him. He's still cranky from his vasectomy he got earlier today to protest the TX abortion laws.

The White House is now openly calling for and aiding in censorship
Posted on 2/1/22 at 5:40 pm to upgrayedd
You know they have zero rebuttal when they go to the “muh poli board” post
Posted on 2/1/22 at 5:41 pm to Byrdybyrd05
People who disagree with Rogan hate black people

They've been doing this for a while now. They overtly admitted that they send "problematic" facebook posts to facebook in order to have them censored

They are everything they pretended to be afraid of when trump was in office. They projected because they knew what they would do as soon as they finagled their way back into power.
