The Wehrmacht is deeply involved with the Nazis' War Against Humanity. They are complicit in the murder of thousands of Jews in the 'Holocaust of Bullets', and the severe treatment of Soviet Prisoners of War. In October 1941, Wehrmacht General Walther von Reichenau issues the 'Severity Order', taking away any ambiguity there may be as to the Wehrmacht's vision.

Ukrainians aren't the chosen ones, though. Some lives do matter more than others.

Since they ran out the Soviets people in Ukraine welcomed the Germans with open arms until the Germans started killing them.

They actually talk about that incident in their Between 2 Wars series.

The Nazis were some ignorant bastards. They couldn't see the forest for the trees.

No matter how much they hated the so called untermensch, they needed to defeat the Russians first and foremost. Can't do that worrying about your rear fighting partisans. All they had to do was leave the Ukrainians basically alone and go fight the Red Army, but noooo.

For that matter, look at the resources time and manpower wasted going after the Jews. The Communists were the enemy Adolf, not the Jews. They would have fought for Germany just like the rest .

This. Fighting a 2-front war when your nation is starved for oil while simultaneously committing resources toward a mass genocide... dumb.

If Hitler had any sense, he'd have finished off the Western front first, then expanded eastward, then once he has his Lebensraum, that's when he goes after the Jews.

The problem was the strategy Germany employed with Barbarossa left thousands of Red Army soldiers trapped far behind the front lines creating the basic establishment of the partisan groups throughout the Ukraine and Belarus.

The Germans didn't nearly have the man power to stabilize the rear areas so the task was left to poorly trained and equipped late wave 'security divisions' full of reservists and men not fit for front line service. Combined with the murderous SS, SD and local auxiliary units there was never any real chance of stabilizing the occupied USSR.

The Russians did not see the German invasion coming.

In Soviet Ukraine, Einsatzgruppen...well, there's not really a clever pun I can come up with here.

Speaking if the eastern front, the movie Panfilov's 28 Men is an incredible film about how this small group helped stop Germany from reaching Moscow. Everything about it is beautifully made. Fantastic cinematography and realism.

Here we go again with the "Collective Guilt by Association" bullshite.

It's a TRAP, people. It's a mind-game designed to condition all of us to be comfortable with condemning and punishing an entire collective group of people as Criminals who should be in Jail, for the crimes of a sub-set of that group.

This is Un American. In the USA, we do not condemn and punish entire collective groups of people for the crimes of a sub-set of those people. If we continue to play this dangerous game, WE OURSELVES will one day be condemned and punished for the crimes of a sub-set of our demographic OR EVEN condemned and punished for Crimes committed by some in our demographic 150 years ago!

Do you want to be punished for crimes committed by some in your demo group 150 years ago? No, you don't. So stop this dangerous game. Here in the USA, we believe in bringing THE INDIVIDUAL WRONGDOER to Justice, using Due Process of Law. We do not subscribe to this Leftist Trap of Collective Guilt and Blood Guilt.

Stop this nonsense. Stop condemning an entire collective group based on the crimes of a sub-set of that group. Insist on INDIVIDUAL accountability for alleged wrongdoing and insist on Due Process of Law.
