Nah, just people that don't want to be lab rats for a cure to something that isn't all that scary.

I know more than a few that want it, mostly older but still people. I know what the numbers are but it doesn’t change the fact that people that according to the government should be getting aren’t getting it.

Why? Are we all supposed to be terrified of the covid boogeyman? Is that what is expected from me? I'm not. Like I said, if I get it and died then so be it, but I will not be a lab rat.

If you didn't care you wouldn't reply. I just don't understand why everyone - like you- feels so dedicated to fighting for the idea that the vaccine is even needed. When the choice is the obliteration of American prosperity or some people die from underlying conditions that is no contest.

Christ, if I get covid and have a bad reaction I'll die. The end. Who fricking cares? I would rather my kids have a country that is worth a shite...

This thread is about the vaccine rollout. Most of us agree that the economy shouldn't be shutdown. Try to stay on topic.

A second ago you were worried about your children's future. I assume a fatherless future is cool with you....so be it, right?

quick, let's tank the economy and overstep every liberty ASAP.

Already been done. Wife gets her 2nd round tomorrow. You and your family save the vaccines for those in need. No need for you all to get autism twice.

State governments were supposed to organize this.

My state is failing at it despite having supply pushed into local hospitals and pharmacies for weeks now.

On the B’ham news Alabama Health Dept is claiming the slow roll out is “lack of guidance from the Federal Gov”. I wanted to scream at the TV “DID THE IDEA OF MAKING YOUR OWN DAMMED PLAN NEVER CROSS YOUR MIND?!?”

Seriously, does federal government have to tell these idiots when to wipe their arse?

That’s the sad part. The US military is the best logistics organization in the world. My former boss was a logistics officer for a carrier group and when we needed to move shite around, he knew what to do and how to do it. Right after blowing shite up and blowing money their next strongest core competency is logistics and we have them on the sideline right now. Truly disappointing.

Funny we can get a couple divisions moved half way around the world in a few days but we can’t respond on our own soil. Why? State governments.

My goodness the level of stupidity in this statement is profound.

Have people not been paying attention? Early last fall, the federal government made it clear that the vaccine was to be distributed to the states based on population. Once delivered, it was up to the state and counties to allocate based on the need etc., and it was their responsibility to do this. Governors like Coumo were claiming they had no intention of distributing the vaccine until they “reviewed” it, despite the FDA ok’ing it. They dragged their feet, and are now paying the price.

Ironic that West Virginia, a state that’s routinely derided by the rest of the country, apparently has their act together, while other states have their heads up their asses.

mbeaux It was up to the states essentially. Most states are not ready. Oddly enough, Louisiana is.

This statement is so untrue! As a Louisiana RN, I can tell you that our state is woefully inefficient in Covid vaccine administration. We are relying on a few (100 pharmacies in the entire state) to vaccinate thousands of citizens. There are far too few pharmacists to accomplish this. Even scheduling has been disaster at this point. A small hospital for which I am a supervisor has contracted with Walgreens nationwide through our corporate office. Though our vaccine was received over a week ago, we are not scheduled for administration until 1/13.
Relatives in Houston, however, qualified as being age 65 or older, registered online on Friday afternoon and recieved a QR code. They were scheduled for Monday am, drove to a stadium and received their vaccine. People 70 and older in LA cannot even get an appt.

Not an issue with vaccines other than Pfizer.
My hospital actually got the freezer, though. It’s the actual administration of vaccines that is a cluster in LA.

Operation Warp Speed developed the vaccine in record time. It is at the state level that administration is breaking down.

As stated in another thread, there are other sources besides the 100 official pharmacies. Call around to dr office, community health clinics, etc. I don't know why this is not being publicized. My town doesn't officially have a pharmacy offering the vaccine. Someone told my parents where to call, they called and got on the list.

RNA vaccines have been in use for years.

And I am getting the vaccine as soon as they let me. My wife already got the first dose - her second dose is tomorrow.
