Now if that guy wouldn't caused them so many problems do you think you would have gotten your pizza faster?
No, what caused the pizza to be late in this situation is the driver went out of area and broke his companies rules

Yes please tell us since it only stared last monday. Yet you have made way more than you gas cost alone.
I have driven for 2 full wknds and they have both been very profitable. Every time I turn on the service, non stop pickups are available. I could accept rides 24/7 if I wanted to. Matter of fact, I just got an email about how they will be extending driver incentives due to overwhelming demand.

Think you might want to reread my post. I said it was at the other end of the zone. Zone meaning the radius to which is set up by the pizza company to deliver in.

Has this been posted: from Reddit: I got a good laugh out of it.
"After a night of fairly heavy drinking, I woke up to find I took a very unnecessary cab ride... Thank you Uber for rubbing it in my face with the detailed map...."
Also proves once again the $5 minimum thing 480 was posting.

I think Uber is a great idea for New Orleans.
I don't think it will be a sustainable threat to the cab industry in BR. Like everyone has said, people work when they want. It will rely on student labor- which means inefficient, sporadic labor. And cannot be relied upon as transportation.
I have kind of been monitoring the cars available, especially over the weekend evening to get an idea. I never caught a car available between 10-2AM this past weekend when I checked.

If cabs weren't so GD unreliable, you wouldn't be getting blown out of the effing water.
Your own fault.
Your own fault.

Students will work exactly when people need cabs... After regular work hours and late into the night... Why won't that work in BR?

I have had dozens of rides under $5 since sometimes I would rather pay $3-4 than walk for 5 minutes to a bar or restaurant in the 100+ degree heat. Also, if I bring girls home from the bar I always get them an Uber ride back to their car when they leave so they don't have to walk in the middle of the night, like I did 2 nights ago, and those are always under $5.

I think you have that backwards. They will work when people don't need cabs, if they work at all. I ran student labor during college with a make your own schedule. They came in at the strangest hours.
The Uber model is great for large cities, but if I'm landing at Baton Rouge Airport at 1:30PM, what's the chances an Uber car will ever be available? What I'm seeing, hardly ever.
