How old can your car be and still use it for uber? I may start driving when I'm free in the evenings. don't want to use my wife's new car but would use my truck.
I was thinking about it too but decided against it.
Wear and tear
Buy my own gas
$500 a year for the phone
Insurance issues
Like I've been saying.. Uber is great for the riders.. The part time driver would get the shaft.

Do Baton Rouge taxis charge you for additional passengers?
In Atlanta, it is an additional 2.00 for each passenger over 1. frick that.

No only extra charge is between midnight and 5 am and that's only $1.50

Not true. Cabbies are almost always dirty foreigners, Uber drivers are normal people.
Cabbies always make me uncomfortable. Uber drivers don't usually do that.

Full time drivers make more money, retard. So 500 bucks out of their annual make isn't anything for them.

Well why list all of the other things besides the phone and MAYBE insurance? I can tell you aren't that bright and most likely a poor.

You're the one coming up with retarded comebacks without any research. Go suck nurse's dick.

Why would a cabbie be thinking about driving for über part time?

With GPS, being a cab driver is completely commondized.
It takes no skill whatsoever, except maybe in cities with extreme traffic conditions.

I've been driving for uber in BR. The drivers do not have to pay for the phone or service, as far as I know. In fact, when the market manager gave us the phone, he said that to keep our account active, we needed a minimum of one fare a month, as they are paying the data rates to keep the phone active.
The phone is a managed device, and can only use the uber driver app, maps, camera and weather. It cannot be used for calls, messages, mail, etc.
BTW, this thread is gold. It just shows American capitalism in its finest hour. When a superior product comes along, it always wins.

Really?!?!
This is an alter/troll. His first post was this thread that he carried for over 10 hours. He is doing this for internet bragging rights. Which makes his thread even worse.
