If you come in from out of town.. stick to the French quarter, don’t have a place to go and don’t really know anyone down there..
YOURE GONNA HAVE A BAD TIME
Mardi Gras is for locals and the people of Louisiana. If you’re just stumbling around Bourbon with a hand grenade in your hand you’re doing it wrong and will most likely be mugged. It is only fun at house parties with crawfish boils- thennn going to a bar (not in the qtr) with some live music. sorry but tourist- it’s not for you.

I mean maybe not mugged but a ton of people have been getting pick pocketed on Bourbon. I went there earlier today and it was crazy.

Mardi Gras sucks everywhere. Been to parades in BR, Thib, Nola, and Hammond. A bunch of drunk idiots that frick up the flow of traffic
