Once told a similar group (bunch of yankees in Chicago) I was an alternate on the 1996 Olympic kickball team. With the Southern accent, and the Olympics in Atlanta that year these rubes bought it hook, line and sinker. For about an hour random idiots were coming up telling me "how great that was". I played along for about a bit and then let the cat out of the bag. A quiet hush fell over the room as these dipsticks realized how stupid they were....
