The tattoo epidemic
My question continues to be at what point does it become cool NOT to have them? It seems like none of the bad stuff ever cycles out - e.g. hiphop. We're like 30 years into a hiphop cycle that won't go away. Ditto tattoos.

That’s not true. Pop country is cycling out.

Pureblood with zero tattoos. I’m a unicorn in this society of flat bill wearing, tatooed, bearded degenerates.

Country has probably overtaken rap as the most popular genre/ cultural force

Beyoncé just did a country album. Post Malone, another one of the biggest artists in the world, switched from rapping to country. There’s a rapper from Texas that is about to release an album with all of the big country stars on it

I have zero tattoos, and only wear fitted 47' Brand franchise hats. Natural worn and curved look to it.

You’re not a professional unless you’re a Doctor. Get over your tattooed self.

Oh I share those thoughts as well. I enjoy a couple of glasses of bourbon 2-3 times a year, so I'm not a heavy drinker at all. The other day I saw some "health professional" covered in tattoos saying you should never drink alcohol because it is toxic. I roared laughing at him.

Yeah, I guess why I felt that way is because all the old heads that listened to country (me and mine) have wholeheartedly rejected all that garbage.

That’s the dumbest thing……wait, that’s not even the dumbest thing in this thread…..yet still dumb. Drs of what? You mean md/do? Or other holders of doctorate degrees?

APRNs not professionals
Administrators not professionals
Sales reps not professionals

Just MDs/DOs? That’s a very strange opinion. Did you come to this conclusion because you think they are the least likely to be heavily tattooed or what? Lol

I'm reminded when ever I see David Bromstad on "My lottery dream home", how he has, imo, destroyed his appearance over the years by adding more and more tats. I believe in his case, there are some underlying self esteem issues in play.

I respect your opinion.
I always wanted a tattoo. Always thought it would hinder my professional career.
At 50, I own my own business and don't give a shite about being judged anymore.
So I got a half sleeve tattoo. I went big. Lots of my family heritage and subtle meaning throughout.
I won't get another tattoo, but I love my unique tat.

Oh, and I didn't get a trashy $200 tattoo. Mine cost $4000 from a guy who has people fly in from all over the world to get his work done.
Worth every penny.

And to respond to some you guys:
Impulsive? No, I waited 30 years, and planned it out for a full year.
Low intelligence? I have a masters degree in human medicine and speak a few languages
Trashy? I support my family, enjoy my life and have a few nice things.
Low self esteem? Meh, I dont think so. I will say that its an ice breaker. I get approached just about everywhere to ask about my tattoo, I enjoy the chance to discuss my family heritage and background.

I feel like some of you are squeezing everyone into the unorganized trailer trash category. If I couldn't be your pal because I have a tattoo...that's just fine.

Geaux Tigers!!!

And I guess that improvement was directly related to having a tattoo, right?

I'll help....No

There is absolutely no way of proving that

I don’t see the roar worthy humor. Fermentation is a very natural process. Modern tattoo injections and ink… not so much. Must have been the bourbon getting to you.

Alcohol stays in the system briefly and our bodies dispose of it.Tattoo ink…not so much.
