Thats interesting. I always come away from these discussions learning something new about history from you fine folks. The details of Bockscar's flight to an fro Nagasaki was something I never really learned about either in school but a TD post prompted me to study it a bit more this past week.

He was a good dude, based on everything I read about him. Had he lived, he might have been an outstanding ruler of that Empire in its latter days. He may have been just the insightful man needed to manage the decline of the Habsburg Empire.

Not sure if anyone has posted th is yet, but PBS has been running a two part bbc series that leads up to the beginnings of wwi. I found it fascinating.
