Do you not understand that the number of shootings dropped dramatically in the second half of the year?
There were less shootings period from July to December. Not simply less fatal shootings.

Do you not understand that there was still the same amount of shootings as last year? Aka not a decrease? Aka those who lived are lucky they didn't receive fatal wounds? Aka the 10% decrease in fatal shootings IS simply LUCK on where the bullet struck?

Ohhhh... There were roughly the same amount of shootings as the previous year... Just a few less deaths... Which is attributed to LUCK.
Crime statistics aren't based on 6 month cycles bud. They're based on yearly totals. At the end of the day, ANY and ALL gunshot wound survivors are LUCKY to be alive. They are LUCKY that the bullet struck them in a place that wasn't fatal

And for fricks sake baw, the decrease in gun deaths is nothing but luck. End of story.
Gun violence didn't go down. It stayed the same.
Also, if you looked back at crime statistics I'm a 6 month cycle, you would see that violent crime tends to peak from Feb-August and slows down September -January. So the drop in the second half of the year isn't some rare phenomenon... It's actually quite predictable

So predictable that people who study crime for a living are calling it a miracle.
But I guess they aren't as keyed into crime statistics and trends as you are.
After the statues were removed? Because that's what this thread is about.

Uhhhhhh.... What he said doesn't change the fact that crime Is seasonal.... And I'd be willing to bet if asked he would agree that violent crime is seasonal.
Warmer months = more violent crime against people
Colder months = more crimes against property

like I said. We don't know. Crime statistics have not been released. Has violent crime gone down? No clue. We know there were less shootings in the second half of the year. But that doesn't equate to less crime. Just less shootings. Even though overall for the year shootings are basically the same as the previous year. Will it continue to stay down? I sure as frick hope so. Nothing would make me happier than Nola to cut the bullshite.
