I use to like him until I saw them in concert two years ago.

They went with the heavy political rhetoric(which normally I don't really care....it's your stage). But after one song he started preaching about love and acceptance regardless of differences.....and then a few songs later he screams "F Trump".

I really don't give a shite what your political standing is but don't preach about love and acceptance then scream for someone to frick themselves.

Meh not really. He was pretty much playing with the crowd the entire time. It was all in good fun.

Agreed. This was back when Greed Day could still claim to be a Punk Rock band. They loved that shite

You should hear how Green Day would do batshite crazy things before going on stage in those days.

The best Woodstock 94 performance was Blind Melon, with Shannon Hoon tripping on acid, wearing a baptism gown.

Limb Bizkit ended the show. That's all you need to know about how bad that event was

1994 was great. 1999 was an absolute disaster.

Well, there’s just not any new famous rock bands anymore. Mainstream rock and roll is close to being dead in that regard.

Billy Joe Armstrong is a whiny little bitch singing for a bitch band. Anyone that enjoys enjoys his music is most likely a little bitch too.

Green Day's set, where about halfway through (18 minutes) the show devolves into a mud slinging mosh pit, with the band attempting to play while dodging fistfulls of mud hurled at them,
I saw that live. It was pretty awesome, IMO. Believe it or not, Green Day was pretty punk at one point.

I wanted to go, but couldn't get any friends to take the leap with me.

ETA: most underrated drummer in rock.

After that, we all pretty much accepted that he was not long for this world.

He died on my birthday in the Tipitina's parking lot in NOLA. I'd actually been to the show there the night before (Radiators) and I think the BM tour bus was already in the parking lot by the time I left.

When the 27 club was still cool, before being ruined by Amy Winehouose.

Michael Lang's inability to ever produce a well-planned festival without incident is what killed Woodstock 50.

My cousin was at Woodstock 99 and ended up getting burned during the RHCP's set.

Yeah. OD'd in the tour bus. That's why I pointed it out. He was either dead or in the process of killing himself when I was walking out of Tips.

I think footage still exists of Blind Melon's Houston show from earlier that night, during which he was visibly wasted.

Dunno. Ask the many people who've died doing it.
