Shane always kills it on SNL. The wedding dance bit this past weekend was hilarious.

Tulane co-eds around Audubon Park are unaware of a controversy.

The sneakers bit made me laugh too. I think I've been able to see most of his stuff from the episode without having to watch the actual show.

I don’t think anyone disagrees, it was the hard W on the whore that got people I think. Which is just how Shane rolls, taking it to the max with the shock factor. It is what it is.

He made fun of himself for that, too.

It's amazing how much SNL hurt themselves by not hiring him on full time in the first place. He blew up, SNL has its most cultural relevance when he's on, and he has the best Trump impression going. Self inflicted wounds at Rockefeller center.

It's a decent joke (and episode of Tires), but he was not great in that monologue.

You can just say you’re siding with the overly sensitive gym hoes. No need to suddenly cosplay as a comedy expert because the joke stepped on one of the Left’s sacred cows.

No klark, it's poorly written and lazy. I think norm Macdonald is one of the best comedians of all time and his joke about gays being proud of being gay is a great joke and well written. Theres a lot of things you can make work in comedy that are offensive, but this wasnt one of them.

Pulling the Norm Macdonald card here is the comedy version of “I have a Black friend.”

I’m still not buying that this is some sincere critique of joke construction. Gillis isn’t an overt Leftist, and the joke targets the exact type of women you reflexively defend. That seems to be doing far more work here than the “writing.”

Nobody is gonna consider that. He said something against the current thing, social media whales watched it, and now he has to be destroyed

I haven't been to the gym in so long I didnt noticed that women dress like whores now is a lazy setup. If you're going to go the whole women whore gym route you have to be at least slightly more subtle. Abrasive doesnt work here, its relying too much on vulgarity of the joke without any humor to back it up. Theres plenty of women that would support a bit on women filming themselves just to try to find men looking at them (and dont pretend they wouldnt, they would)

Sure klark, I mention a joke I like where he specifically attacks gay people and this is what you deduce it to because it breaks your argument. Never change.

Except that wasn’t the entire setup or the punchline. The bit moved from an absurdly specific description of neon, artificial-bait-colored shorts, to “don’t look because they’re filming,” and finally to Gillis being the creepy fat guy trapped in the background of ten TikToks. The insult was the bait. The punchline ultimately turned back on him.

You stripped the entire bit down to the one phrase that offended Leftists, then declared the version you created lazy and humorless.

You’re free to dislike it. Pretending there was no humor beyond the vulgarity is simply inaccurate. Never change whatlittleiknowsofar

I was traveling this week and went to a PF in Humble, TX. Instahoes were still there wearing too little.

As a happily married man who doesn’t stare at women in the gym… the fittest and best looking girl next door working out there was dressed like she was under the taliban regime compared to the rest of them.

It was the setup to the joke about how women dress. And in comedy if you're going for abrasive the humor has to be right there with it, and he took too long to get to the actual joke.

The punchline ultimately turned back on him.

Which again, took too long to get to.

I showed you how the joke was poorly written, you disagree, and want to reduce it to a left vs right argument.

You’re free to dislike it.

Oh thank you so much klark. I needed your approval to do so.
