Anyone know what time one has to get out there to beat the fan placeholders?
It's certainly a great spot to have shade and beat traffic. First time I tried that area and made it out of there like bandits. With the HC parade route wasn't sure if it was normal game day or not.

We had to call LSUPD on a person that wouldn't move from standing in a spot last year. Had already paid for a game by game parking pass and they refused to leave the spot. My friend said there were about 10-15 blocked off in the law school lot like this on Saturday. I told him to move the chair, but he didn't want anything done to his car.

We tailgate right by the ag building and Park in that lot. The double Parking and illegal parking is getting worse over there. I also find it unbelievable that car after car drive in there after 2 o'clock thinking they have a shot at a spot.

You have the rule on your side. If you see a spot you want, just move the chair and take it.
And expect your car to be keyed when you get back later.

They are probably looking for the chair left for them

Depends on the game. Southern Miss or South Alabama... maybe 9? Alabama or Ole Miss, probably more like 7.

Two years ago for the bama game, in the same lot, I had my truck parked in the last spot in the row, I told my friend to park next to me (its not a legal spot but people did it all the time). LSU PD drove through and were ready to call in a tow, my friend moves his vehicle. 5 minutes later some tool parks there and we tell him about LSUPD trying to be nice. Well he lost his mind and started yelling at us and taking pictures of us with his cell phone thinking we were going to mess his car up. We thought about calling a tow on him but didn't.
People act like complete assholes when it comes to parking at LSU games.

Move the chair, park in the spot, and put the chair behind your car

So basically the rule of the land is to Road House it. Buy a beater truck and throw some spare tires in the back.
Go plow some chairs.
Go plow some chairs.

Yea I'm gonna drive my old truck next game. frick em. I'd love to watch somebody try to slash my 10 ply super swampers.

I think people don't move the chairs b/c they don't want their car keyed during the game.
Which is exactly why LSUPD or some other authority should be enforcing the rule and lot leave it up to citizens.
All it would take is for a few cops to sweep though and ask people to take the chairs down. Problem solved.

Basically, the problem is you also have the older crowd that feels entitled to a spot because they've been in the area for years and think they can police the area on their own.

Just move the chairs and park, but prepared to diffuse a drunkard who wants to fight.
I find that if you pick up the chair and fricking sling that bitch across the parking lot your odds of being involved in an altercation drop significantly.

Saving Spaces
Policy: Saving parking spaces for other motorists is not permitted in any area.
Reason: Parking on the LSU campus is first-come, first-served, except in lots and streets with reserved spaces.
This is how it should be everywhere.
When it comes to events like gamedays, you have to earn your parking space. Occupying unused spaces that people have rightfully earned by arriving early so your buddies can sleep in is some weak-arse bullshite.
Don't let people get away with that.

This is why I take my work truck to games. I don't care what happens to it.

Agreed. That would eliminate the need to be a dick because some a-hole thinks a chair can save a spot.
Also, the old vehicle idea is great if you won't be near your spot. I always take my old Wrangler.

We see the same thing up here but the parking lot attendants enforce the rule and move the chairs out of the way.

Move the chair to where someone else has a chair saving a spot. Move the second chair to the grass. Let the two chair people think that they fricked each other over.
