I am too short sighted to see how this doesn’t differ from the Industrial Revolution or any other new technology that did away with old jobs and created new ones
And I, for one, welcome our new robotic overlords.

On a serious note, what happens to all of those people?

This was discussed on JRE with Bernie.
It’s plausible that as more and more get automated out of jobs, the push for UBI gets so big it will be inevitable.
And as technology continues to progress, a greater % of the population year over year will have to rely on UBI alone.
It’s pretty bleak, so basically we will all be babies for the government and tech overlords.
This could happen in 20 years.. 50.. who knows.

Universal Basic Income.
Essentially welfare for everyone, or some minimum income safety net.

Not delivery related but stopped at a large McD's in Vegas 4 years ago to use its facilities & there were only 2 humans in the store. A manager & a supervisor to monitor the cash register usage.

Well I definitely believe Bernie, the 50 year politician who’s never actually done anything.
