Here's my question...unless the government or some agency institutes mandatory sterilization for such individuals as the one's described in the OP's post, how exactly do you prevent this from happening again?
I mean, chances are they are both going to continue to frick without proper birth control and consequently become pregnant again.

A dumb person is not going to decide not to procreate because they're too stupid. That's a smart decision.

Unless there are severe deficits in adaptive functioning ( with those IQs there will not be that severe) that prevent them for caring for the children, this will be overturned on appeal.

I wish we still used the old classification of moron/imbecile/idiot when it came to IQ. They were stages of mental retardation (also cannot use this word anymore) that stratified them by IQ.

Taking kids away because the parents are not very smart is fricked up. Taking away kids because the parents are literally retarded is fine to me. Preference should be given to family to take the children though with unlimited access by parents, but a mentally retarded parent can't provide primary childcare adequately.
