"Since Sunday, our detectives have uncovered that the victims in each homicide case have been involved in some type of activity prior to the homicide which contributed heavily to their death,’’ Fitzgerald said.

“We want to get the message out to the public that we have to be really mindful of our behavior because we have seen just the lengths people will go to target you if they have something out for you.”

“If you’re engaging in any type of behavior that would lead someone to target you,’’ he said, “they will not stop until they get you.”

Like father, like son.

Davis Jr. was gunned down at the Circle K on Tallapoosa Street while he was pumping gas. His death came nearly five years after his father killed at a gas station on the city’s west side, which also happened on a Sunday.

Davis Jr. previously played football at UAB.

Police said the deadly shooting was carried out in retaliation for a previous incident in which a family member of the suspect was shot.

Are you trying to spin this as a Death Wish good guy vigilante? Because this just sounds like run of the mill hoodrat beefing.

I like street justice as long as the people carrying out the justice go back to a normal life.

I really don’t like to hear that an Alabama city is better at us at murder. New Orleans and Baron Rouge needs to get their shite together.

So was a lot of Wild West violence, to be fair.
People felt slighted or wronged and took Justice into their own hands.

So we're at the point of the timeline where the party of life and law and order is cheering on no-trial vigilante executions?

NOLA is slipping. They're down 11 on last year's number to date. Still plus five on 2021, though.
