$50k too low to be impressive for truck prices.
Hell a loaded out 3/4 or 1 ton is getting into the low $70's
ETA: I paid $50k for my F-250 four years ago. Same truck is easily $10k more now

Yea the All Terrain package is probably the best looking truck on the market IMO. It's too bad you can't get them with AC seats. That and GM's reluctance to not only not have a smart key, but still have a key separate from the fob. Get with the program GM.

I remember having to use a separate key to start my 1976 GMC pickup than the one that I used to open the door. The A/C was opening the quarter glass on the front doors and driving quickly. If I wanted four wheel drive, my arse was getting out in the weather and locking the hubs up front. I had to (gasp) shift change the gears manually on that rig.
Edit: Trucks have gotten expensive, but they've also gotten so much more pleasant to use.....although I wouldn't mind the brighter switch moved back to the floor board where it belongs.

I had everyone laughing at the office over your post.

I drive an '08 GMC Sierra Denali. I don't think I'm getting another truck, they are just ridiculously priced luxury vehicles. Even tacomas are as big and expensive as older model full size trucks.

Not going to lie, that Canyon looks legit but I gravitate more to the Colorado

I like that, for a fairly reasonable price, you can get them with a Duramax diesel, locking diff, 7,000+ lbs towing, and 30 mpg highway in a mid sized package designed to compete with the Hilux overseas.
I agree. Chevy hit a home run with this. The only critique I have is that their most loaded package shouldn't be above $40k imo.

I think the trucks with the more upright grills and exaggerated fenders are kind of overdoing it. The Silverado, F150, and Tundra are nice vehiciles.....but they look like caricatures of what some marketing person thinks truck people want. It's too much chrome and bulgy sheet metal for me. I like the new Colorado or the previous generation Tacoma much more than those trucks.

While the wife and I were shopping for an SUV in december i fell in love with the gmc canyon. i tried to convince her a crew cab truck made more sense than an SUV.

Meh. I'd rather this for under $40K
Saw a Colorado on display somewhere and the sticker was $38k...and it was not fully loaded. It actually lacked a lot of creature comforts. They are way too proud of those things.

You can buy a full size for less than that.

I love the front end on the 2016 Silverado's. I'm kind of lucky as I am an IT guy for an auto group of 15 new car dealerships. I can check out and drive about anything on the lots. The best part is I can look all I want and the salesmen don't bother me.
Here is one at our Chevy store.

I wish they still made the Avalanche
Why? The new Colorado's are really nice and high tech inside. The backseat isn't big but it still has 4 doors if you ever need them and they drive much better than the Avalanche. Plus fully loaded under 35k.

I am blown away at what people will pay for a damn truck.

Its truck month in February, you can walk out the door as loaded as they come for 33k max. They should have made one with the LTZ package though.

I delivered appliances for A-1 back in the day in a chevy C10 with 3 on the column and no AC.
My new Colorado is a far cry from what Chevy made in 1978.

I just grabbed a 2016 Tundra blacked out, off-road for around 40K. I looked at the limited and it had too much chrome and shite I would never use, but a very nice truck. Really easy to drop 40-50 on a new truck these days.
