It speaks volumes that we always hear the same few names over and over again. There just aren’t as many victims as BLM wishes.

Did you get this from Chris Rock?

Yep. Was referencing that skit.

Surprised more people didn't recognize it.

5. Keep your hands in plain sight and make sure the police can see your hands at all times.

Even if you are paste-white in the pastiest county in AL, do not reach for your glove box to get your insurance card as the pastiest-rookie cop on the force approaches your car.
Nothing makes you lock-up faster than seeing the fuzz getting ready to draw-dowm in your side view mirror.
Following the rules of cop engagement applies to all ages and colors.

Yes or no, please.

I find it amusing that all these small government conservatives are applauding a "Top 10 list of survival rules" for us to use when interacting with a force of public servants sworn to serve and protect us

There are less rules for taking a photo with a wild animal at a zoo.

It depends. There is a line that cant be crossed when it comes to verbal abuse of a police officer. Are you referring to being handcuffed as physically escalating things?

Imagine if zoo keepers were allowed to unleash lions on customers that were rude to them.

Small government conservatives would be like "all you have to do is respect the BREC zoo keeper."

Has anyone in here said that police officers are allowed to kill people that are rude to them? But you can be arrested if you cross a certain line.

Just so everyone is clear. Police brutality is wrong. Endlessly beating or strangling a man in cuffs with your knee is wrong. An officer killing someone because they used to work together and dont like each other is wrong. All of these things are wrong no matter the race of the cop or the person being arrested.

The most comprehensive analysis of shipping records over the course of the slave trade is the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade Database, edited by professors David Eltis and David Richardson. (While the editors are careful to say that all of their figures are estimates, I believe that they are the best estimates that we have, the proverbial “gold standard” in the field of the study of the slave trade.) Between 1525 and 1866, in the entire history of the slave trade to the New World, according to the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade Database, 12.5 million Africans were shipped to the New World. 10.7 million survived the dreaded Middle Passage, disembarking in North America, the Caribbean and South America.

And how many of these 10.7 million Africans were shipped directly to North America? Only about 388,000. That’s right: a tiny percentage.

Just a heads up, it’s incredibly stupid statements like this that make the rest of us see you progressives as a bunch of unhinged idiots.

don’t buy this one at all. If a cop says or does something I don’t agree with, there’s nothing so special about their position that they can’t be argued with.

Sure you can. Some of you just dont "get it". Winning an argument with a cop on the side of the road or act in a manner to possibly get out of a $ 150 citation - or at worst, turn the $150 citation into a $70 non-moving violation. But hey, you told that motherfricker, huh!

Well damn, since you're logged in now, change my mind. Give me some examples of a black getting killed by police that handled himself in a respectful manner?

I'll wait

Your blind support and obedience is what gives rise to such movements. The mere existence of this thread and the bulk of the "if you just respect the police they wont kill you" comments is why we have movements like the BLM catch wildfire.

If the idea of cops being held to standards and/or treated like other government workers is reprehensible and "unhinged" to you then you are going to have a rough decade. It's obvious that change is coming. You can accept that the status quo isn't sustainable and get a seat at the table or you can let people like foaming at the mouth sky screaming liberals run the show. The choice is yours.
