The ONE main common factor that BLM and the media refuse to address

#1 - Do NOT resist arrest.
Until I see a black person mistreated by police, that was being polite and complying with the officer, systematic racism by police will continue to remain a myth to me.
I was raised to respect authority, whether that was my teacher, principal, bus driver, LEO....Everytime that I have been pulled over, my main objective is to act in a manner that will help me get out of the citation: yes sir, no sir...Its not a guarentee to keep from getting a ticket, but it sure as hell keeps you from unnecessarily being detained or killed by a police officer. The beauty about it is that it works for ALL races 100% of the time.
If BLM and the media really cared, they would be preaching these rules that most of us have been living by our entire lives:
10 Rules of Survival if Stopped by the Police
1. Be polite and respectful when stopped by the police. Keep your mouth closed.
2. Remember that your goal is to get home safely. If you feel that your rights have been violated, you and your parents have the right to file a formal complaint with your local police jurisdiction.
3. Don’t, under any circumstance, get into an argument with the police.
4. Always remember that anything you say or do can be used against you in court.
5. Keep your hands in plain sight and make sure the police can see your hands at all times.
6. Avoid physical contact with the police. No sudden movements, and keep hands out of your pockets.
7. Do not run, even if you are afraid of the police.
8. Even if you believe that you are innocent, do not resist arrest.
9. Don’t make any statements about the incident until you are able to meet with a lawyer or public defender.
10. Stay calm and remain in control. Watch your words, body language and emotions.

It seems some have problems with this.

You’re making too much damn sense

Glad you posted the rules. We all know these people follow rules.

This should not be a thing in the US, a supposed free country. The US should not be a police state in which you have to navigate encounters with police just right to avoid injury and death.
When did this become the mindset? When did this become okay? When did you become okay living in a police state?

I agree with you 99% of the time.
However, it does not always work out for you.
Google Daniel Shaver.
Tragic.

The entire premise of his post was that nobody who isn't resisting has been shot. That's exactly what happened to him, so I'm not sure how you think you got me?

So do you think it's okay for a person to immediately begin fighting the police when they are placed under arrest for a crime they committed and steal a weapon of the officers and then use it against them? You stupid frick hole

Statues make you resist arrest

What's your opinion on required use of masks and stay at home orders?

Common sense just isn’t that common it seems.

Define “mistreat”. I don’t feel like chasing goalposts on wheels.

Well, for starters, your reading comprehension sucks. I said bad shite does happen, doesn’t make it right but don’t even try to act like that situation happens all the time.
You tried a gotcha and failed. Period.

Seriously?
To be respectful to teachers, principals, your bus driver, the police, your boss at your job..should not be a "thing" in the US?

I violated this rule when I was 16 years old and had an officers service revolver cocked to my temple. I actually didn't shite my pants either, something I have great pride about.
I am a white brother and this happened in 1978 in LaPlace.
