Thought I would ask the OT who owns that just finished mansion on Old Perkins. It's the last one on the right before you cross the manchac (EBR parish side)). It's probably one of y'all who own it and the rest of y'all have been partying over there with your OT 11's.

I was just curious because it seems like it's been going up for damned near 5 years and I've heard it's had multiple builders and delays, and even a suicide on the property at one point during construction by a supervisor of some sort.

Anyway it's about as fascinating and gawdy a place as you could possibly build in this town. Also I'd be curious if anyone knows the final costs, cause you know that place had to be over the original budget by a mile.

I know the homeowners have a company that makes landfill liners or something like that. It's one of the ugliest houses I've ever seen from the outside. I can only imagine what the inside looks like. People say the owners are nice, but I have to wonder what sort of personality type is drawn to such a gawdy home.

Pretty sure people have posted pictures of the inside on here before.

It's such a weird combination of French countryside with Islamic influences... I think. I've only seen it in passing a few times but that's what comes to mind.

YES. There's no fluidity to it. My kid calls it the castle where the evil witch lives.

I know the house and I think that baw owns some kind of environmental/industrial waste company. That house has to be 10-12 million

Isn't that the house where the dude killed himself inside while it was being built?

Pretty sure there was like a dispute between the guy building the house and one of the contractors or supervisors or something. Some sort of windows were installed improperly or something, and the builder wanted the guy to tear down the entire wall or wing of the house and reinstall them maybe.

Guy khs'd in the house because it was gonna cost him so much money

IIRC, didn't he commit suicide in his truck outside of the home? Wasn't it a project manager or something?

Didn't it (the house being built) cause the family next door (was it the Kellers?) to move? They bought that Ole Miss looking frat house and turned it into a beautiful white southern mansion. Then ol castle comes along and screws it up.

A buddy of mine's company is doing all of the electronics and automation. He says it's ridiculously nice inside and just his company's work in is the millions...this house is over $30M.

You wanna bet how much it would sell in an open market?

Less than 7 million. So thats what its actually worth, no matter how much they spent on it.
