V shape is not good for diesel and Ford's 'dyno' numbers are never legit. I have an older Cummins powered vehicle and it's going to get 5x the lifespan of a Ford diesel and would probably rip a Ford truck in half. Cummins has the engine (Dodge). Allison has the transmission (GM). Ford has- axles?
If Dodge ever gets an Allison-equivalent transmission, GM will have to stop making trucks and Ford will go into panic mode.
Ford is terrible with diesel engines. If the Ford groupies would stop trading in for a new vehicle every year, they'd quickly find out how crappy those engines are. They should have never taken the International engines out.
