Gonna be tricky getting blades to bite in that thin atmosphere. That’s what we pay the nerds to figure out, I suppose.
yeah, the atmo is only 1% of Earth's at sea level. their using a 4-ft rotor diameter for a 4 lb craft.

What did you say??????
edit: At least I live in Alabama. We will be last place to be overrun by our robotic overlords. I mean who would want to live here?

Is this going to work? You would think it would be pretty difficult to get lift in such a thin atmosphere.

I have a $400 one I don’t use that they could have borrowed. Shoots 4k videos.

Thats amazing. This article discusses the tradeoff between the lighter atmosphere (hurts lift) and the diminished gravitational force (helps lift).

Who did New Orleans elect as their leaders?

No. The problem is the smart ones get freaking bored because of no child left behind crap. It's ok to acknowledge some kids are slower than others. We are a country of Morons because we went away from telling kids it's ok to be a farmer, mechanic, and janitor if you can't be a doctor or engineer. Slower kids shouldn't have to be told they need a college degree and smarter kids shouldn't have to wait for the rest of the dumb ones to continue on.

Looks like they got their money out of you. Look at you regurgitate the "money=education" meme.

I'm guessing the team that has been able to land multiple rovers on a planet 174,000,000 miles away took into consideration the specifics of the atmosphere they're looking to fly the drone in
(Every one of the rovers we've sent there had to land through that thinner atmosphere as well)

I'm sure. Just fascinated.

Totally. The shite NASA has been able to do is mind blowing.

It was. The drones rotors were designed to work in Mars atmosphere

I wonder if, like a Battlebot, that thing has a self-righting mechanism.
For 85 million it ought to have two of them.

$85 million was spent here on Earth, rewarding really smart taxpaying citizens that aren’t morons. Seems reasonable to me, incentivizing people to get an education, rather than pouring it into schools that fail regardless of how much money they get.

There’s no correlation between spending and outcomes.
Inner city school systems, like the Baltimore system, are well funded, and employee salaries are much higher than what you’d see at private schools.
It’s just not about the money.
