These NFL players have a national audience and one of the extremely few platforms that can and does actually reach kids and families in inner cities. Let me give you a scenario:

If you went to a doctor's office with a gunshot wound in your chest and a splinter in your toe, and you held the doctor at gunpoint and demanded he remove the splinter so you could go home, don't you think people would wonder what the frick was wrong with you? And if you further advocated that all doctors in the hospital stop what they're doing to treat the absolute most minor of injuries, wouldn't you deserve criticism and scrutiny?
