I think what you're insinuating is a movie can't fit into multiple categories, which it can. So your question is invalid in my mind.

I really don't care if Die Hard is a Christmas movie or not. A lot of it has to do with Christmas, so I get the argument.
I just never understood how so many people thinking/arguing in the affirmative is such an edgy or smart opinion. It's kinda not noteworthy in any way.

I get that Christmas Story is a classic in the whole nastalgic, old school classic sense. It’s a classic movie and that’s really about it. Having said that, it’s a one time watch, then turn the channel kind of movie for me. For me it’s Christmas Vacation allllll day!!

Xmas is not central to the plot. It could just have easily been the parents forgetting him at home on their summer beach trip to 30A and trying to get him before the mullet toss.

The Die Hard is a Christmas movie thing is like Chuck Norris jokes, or the letting everybody know you are crazy about bacon fad. It’s pretty tired at this point but people are gonna run stuff into the ground, just the way it is

24 hr marathon is what ruined it. It was a decent movie that got overplayed to the extreme. They need to get rid of the marathon and play it just a few times a year.
