Black population is about 41 million
In 2011, roughly 2.6 million crimes were committed by blacks, many by multiple offenders. You do the math.
Black unemployment rate is between 9-10%.
You look it up if interested.
So, if there is even a black "culture", it is one of a working and law abiding class. Myth dispelled.

Real Black unemployment is closer to 17-18%, but hey who cares about real numbers and such.

Of course...lol.

And lets not forget about those who collect unemployment but work labor for cash. Both races do this.
And even with numbers such as yours, the vast vast majority of black people work and follow the law. Culture myth still dispelled.

but I'm sure you knew this bit of information already, when you facetiously posted this....

My comment was regarding black "culture", not who commits more crimes proportionally. The latter is indisputable. I know it is difficult for you to swallow that the vast majority of black people work and do not commit crimes, much less violent ones. This, too, is indisputable. So again, the black culture of lawlessness, not working, and violence is a myth. Indisputably, a myth.

africans are the ones who enslaved blacks, Americans just bought blacks. Why didn't Frederick Douglas say anything about the African who enslaved his grandfather and sold him. Would Frederick Douglas had rather been in Africa?

StrongSafety, don't let the bastards of this board grind you down. There is a great abundance of charlatans that are just uncomfortable with their power structure being challenged.

Your post was exciting to read, and inspirational considering the time period it was written in.

On this day that we remember the glorious birth ofour nation, lest us not forget the strides we have made and how some of our fellow countrymen and women once felt left out.

All of our country men once felt left out, thats why the United States of America was formed. Evading religious persecution the colonists came, others to evade war in their native countries, and some to simply seek a better life that wasn't available to them in their native countries. The estrangements of our ancestors built the country. The US was the first non-organic country to form from the European nations. So while blacks were left out of being equal at one point, lets not act like no one else was. We have come a long way.

Of course colored people of that era will feel the way this gentleman did. He'll even the bitch-arse God of the old testament endorses slavery. Slavery is the biggest injustice act that Christian Americans have committed.

It's truly, IMO, one of the greatest pieces in American history, considering the time frame. We don't give him enough credit for being a true patriot and defender of our liberties. He should be enshrined on our money.

The insecurities we have seen since Obamas election have been interesting to watch. And it's what you said --- people feel as if their power structure is being challenge

It and Racial discrimination are our nation's biggest sin, as mr. Douglass states himself .

It lies in direct hypocrisy to everything we supposedly stand against

That's a damned compelling speech. A plea to the senses or reason and morality. It's pretty depressing to think that in merely 150 years we devolved from men like Frederick Douglass to men like Sharpton and Jackson.
