The law of attraction: do you believe in it?

A wise man once said if you truly envision yourself achieving your goals, literally sitting in silence, reverence, and meditation for ten minutes a day envisioning yourself achieving your deepest desires, then you will actually achieve those goals in reality. Now this is a subject that I’ve read deeply into, and I’m starting to become a bit of a self proclaimed expert in this category. I’ve read and annotated the works of many great writers who have covered the topic, and I also recently read a great essay by Marlon Efferkoppe (sp?) about the principles of attraction and the critical envisioning that must be done in order to wish something possible. That being said, do y’all believe in the law of attraction or do y’all think that things happen on their own without interference from the supernatural realm of thinking? I say that on certain occasions the law of attraction does prove to be meritorious, yet often times things that occur are simply due to fate and the reality that truth will come to identify itself at some point.

I know this...the more married I am and the more money I make, the more attractive I become apparently

It's true for the most part.
Everything won't come to fruition, but a lot will.

There are two answers to this.
1) Alcohol
2) Minus alcohol, Fate is the biggest factor. The most serious relationships I have ever been in, all started from just a chance thing. Could be timing, right spot/right time, or just a simple remark made

Hmm. As a spiritual person (despite some flaws), I do believe in "all that" but also that a person can self-actualize a lot through focused deliberation (whatever we want to call it). The two are not necessarily mutually-exclusive (as you seem to imply) as God empowers us to take action ourselves. Or as the Reverand Hunter S. Thompson said "Pray to God, but row away from the rocks." Or perhaps Jeremiah 42:3 "Pray that the LORD your God will tell us where we should go and what we should do."

I sort of believe it. Your mindset definitely gives your life direction. However instead of the law of attraction, I believe this quote is closer to the truth.
Idk who said that btw
quote:
A man is what he thinks about all day long

These both summarize the law of attraction. Luck is prisoner to a person. A person is a prisoner to their mind.

Yes. I've used it in my life for going on 5 years now.
The law of attraction/The power of intention/manifestation and your connection to the Universal energy is 100% real, despite what those who don't understand it say about it.

To make a point, even after I met the girl of my dreams. I prayed that God would bless my relationship. And He answered me in a special way. I married with a perfect feeling that my marriage was truly blessed. All major decisions shouldn't be made without prayer first.

Ummm, then you might want to share this info with the fine folks up in Knoxville. Mainly the AD.

College football is quite a bit down the list of priorities in my life.
Meanwhile the majority of Alabama fans finish their shift at whatever low end job they're working at only to get off and return to your trailer park & brag about a school that the vast majority of you never attended. In a state that's about as big of a shite hole as it gets.
Who really needs to "share this info" with state employees?

Lol what so you’re saying that envisioning yourself achieving your goals causes supernatural interference? Not that thinking about them more may increase drive and literal ability to envision yourself accomplishing them? It’s a known fact that imagining scenarios in your head (such as the practice of rehearsing before an interview) makes you more confident because your brain processes it as if the imagined scenario was an actual real life previous experience before facing the one you practiced it for

I do not believe that meditation and concentration can cause a spiritual reaction that leads to success. I do think that meditation can help clarify realistic goals for someone and for them to find the ability to focus on achieving them.
For example, if I meditate every day about becoming the next Mark Zuckerberg (inventing some new social media site that makes me a billionaire), the law of attraction will show to not exist.
However, if I meditate about becoming a computer programmer, I'll find peace with going back to school, working an internship, finding a job, and paying back new school loans in order to work a desired career.
Perhaps you could say that meditating about becoming a billionaire social media entrepreneur would help someone come to a realization that they will not become a billionaire entrepreneur but instead can still find peace and happiness with the work itself.
