Do you realize how ridiculous that is? Never mind the fact that those x's weren't designed for drinking. Plus it's hazardous as that requires more of your attention while driving. Please remind us when you're driving and doing that as I don't want to be anywhere near you on the road.

Are you really fricking stupid enough to type all that in response to me offering the perfectly logical solution of sucking through the X?

So no one here does the same thing? Even if it's just a few extra straws every now and then for some mixed drinks at home? Or for house guests when they have a party?

I just buy a pack every once in a while. What are they, a buck fifty or so?

America is not the place responsible for the garbage in the oceans. This plastic straw thing is empty, pointless, feel-good governance.

Completely agree. And that's true not just for straws but for most environmental issues. The U.S. really isn't the problem. Sad thing is though the environmentalists don't care. Of course they'll never give up their iPhones, lol.

I think what I worry about is that the end game is to have them banned completely in the U.S. or taxed out of existence like they are trying to do with cigarettes.

It'll become like heroin, you'll have to go on the black market to buy straws, lol.

Why can’t you just rinse them out and reuse.
You’d only need a dozen or so at most.

Time to order a few Yeti straws I guess. Do they make the extra wide ones like would come with a daiquiri?

Serious answer, get some 3/16" or 1/4" smooth bore seamless stainless steel tubing. 304 will be fine but get 316 if you want to out Yeti Yeti. You can get 6' of 304 for about $30, cut to your desired straw length chamfer the ends and viola a transfer vehicle for all you high viscosity chilled beverage needs.

Considering you can buy a pack of 250 straws from Walmart for $3...you’d be a fricking retard to horde plastic straws

But supply and demand will adjust prices. I'm not going to stock up on them because I never use them at home. Almost never.

Exactly, I’ve been buying and hoarding these. I’ve got about 10,000 so far and I’m going on a beach vacation at the end of next month so I’m figuring by then I should have 15 to 20 thousand.

I’m dumping all of them in the ocean just to spite the fricking idiots that truly believe plastic fricking straws are really a problem in this country
