There was a good billboard in London that said something to this effect:

It's not the food making you fat,
It's your couch.

If every American walked 10,000 steps a day the food we ate would be neglible. Sure all that stuff isn't great for us, but guess what else is bad: starvation. Yet humans have survived for a long time.

There is truth to that, however our bodies react adversely to different types of foods.

For example, research indicates that eating large amounts of Omega 6 fatty acids raise your cholesterol and increases your risk of heart disease. This is why animal fats are often considered bad. However, animal fats shouldn't be high in Omega 6 fatty acids, but in Omega 3's like salmon.

The issue is that we fatten up our meat by finishing cows and such on grain. Using grains, like corn, causes a shift in their fat stores.

So corn byproducts in your diet screw you twice.

It's Dutch door action.

Sugar and salt is more dangerous than the sucrolose and acesulfame K by a wiiiiide margin. And comparing the artificial sweeteners in Mio to HFCS is like comparing a gunshot wound to a splinter.

And claims that acesulfame K may be carcinogenic have been debunked by the European Food Safety Authority and the FDA.

Since humans started consuming it, obesity rates have more than tripled and diabetes incidence has increased more than seven fold.

But since 2004, consumption of high fructose corn syrup has decreased. Yet obesity rates have not dropped.

Conclusion: HFCS is not the villain

Try eating each course of your meal one hour apart.
Eat all of your meals like that throughout the day and your digestive system will love you and after a few weeks of doing this avoiding alcohol and simple carbohydrates your body will shed fat whether you exercise or not. However you will feel so good and have so much energy you will want to work out.

This ^ Pretty much everything has had a knock on it at some point....death from starvation and/or mal-nutrition comes to fruition much faster than these spook stories do.

This is false. I've trained and ran marathons without getting below 250. You can't out excersize a bad diet. Most of peoples issue is what they do in the kitchen.

250 lb people can't run a marathon.

Fixed it for you. I've done two sub 4 hour marathons at 250. Log as man miles as you want but if you don't make good decisions in the kitchen you're still going to be big.

So you don't think they should be allowed to make money? Maybe they should give food away for free? You communists will make any excuse to destroy free markets.
