I'm supposed to travel to BR from Hammond at 10 tonight. Will this be possible or not?

If so. I-12 will be fine coming in. Not sure where in BR you have to go but some surface streets are NOT GOOD.

I'm sure it's been discussed, but I'm on my phone. How is I-10 from New Orleans to Baton Rouge? I know some people who are making that drive right now.

Where are all those guys who get a hard on for hurricanes?
Good question. This is a really interesting situation. A tropical like low gaining strength over land. PWAT totals at record levels for days. I'm all weather nerd and get excited to see the power of a hurricane spinning in the ocean, but oddities like this system are just as interesting.

What are my chances of making it from New Orleans to Lafayette on HWY90 in a truck?

Check your news stations for closed roads. You'll probably be ok, but it's only going to get worse as you get into the Laffy area.

Where can I find a graph like that where it predicts future river stages for the tickfaw River at Springfield? Currently in Springfield it is at about 2.15'

I10 will likely be good to go tonight. Again, check road closers and stuff from official sources before heading out though.

La DOTD Traffic Cams
Everything looks ok for now interstate-wise from BR to Lake Charles

Heading to Jackson, MS tomorrow from New Orleans. Y'all think I'll be alright? Most of the flooding is in BR area right?
Posted on 8/12/16 at 3:51 pm to Paul Redeker
I-55 might be a problem now, even worse tomorrow
Posted on 8/12/16 at 3:51 pm to Paul Redeker
I55 is currently closed near Amite. So it'll be dicey in South MS into Tangi.
