Seriously?

Keep us updated. That would mean Bayou Fountain is currently backflowing.

Up about 4" in the past 30 min on a pole in the yard, don't know if that means much given the elevation change in the yard.

left at 6:30. Barely made it out in my jeep. It was over the tires. It has risen 6 inches since I left.

So it is still rising?

I expect to see it on gauges soon.

Yes, pretty steady all morning. Wasn't really paying attention earlier b/c father-in-law was in emergency brain surgery. Then noticed how far it had come up since 6:00 am.

Another check for St Thomas More at Sherwood/Goodwood. Still dry or underwater?

Bro, that place was done at about 6 this morning. Like 3-4 feet deep. Didn't see the church itself, but that area was 3-4 feet deep at 6 am

Yeah it looks like Manchac and Ward Creek have been backflowing since last night. I think that part of Santa Maria is in trouble. It's only going to keep rising until tomorrow.

Does anyone think I10 between baton rouge and nola could be shut down between now and Monday morning because of this backflow?

It looks like there is an area of 20' where I10 crosses perkins but I don't know if the interstate is higher than that.

Flannery area seeing extreme flooding. That waters are still rising in Flannery tells me that we have a LONG way to go along canals further down the Amite.

The red X shows where we are seeing peak backflow from a cresting Amite.
