The article I linked when I quoted Rainey's statement included the 6 new schools wish list. The paragraph above the one where I quoted him said.

Can't speak for you, but I have a car.
I couldn't give a flying flip if CATS services this area. In fact, fewer buses with all of two passengers on them clogging up traffic would probably be a good thing.

Won't those same students be attending Woodlawn even if SG becomes a new city and a new school system? I don't follow what point you think you're making.
Do you think a kid will think, "Oh, wait, this is the SG school district now. I going to be a good boy!"?

I'd like to think the new leadership won't allow shite like this to happen. It's not too much to ask for there to be no rapes at school. Just my opinion.

The fear mongering and race baiting resonate with some people. We've seen some usually level headed posters get entrenched and emotionally vested in this issue on both sides.
We have an ISD in my suburb and it's awesome. It's worth the hassle for property value increases alone. In my opinion, if St George can get that without incorporating, that would be the optimal solution.....but I'm not against incorporation.

I assume you're referring to videos of fights. Fights are never good, but I went to a school where there were fights on a regular basis. It never affected my ability to learn. It takes a few minutes to break it up, but then they immediately resume teaching. I was never involved in one because I didn't associate much with dysfunctionals.

I think the fact that the tax was nothing more than a crony money grab and the vote clearly gerrymandered in order to pass went right over yours.

BTW, a lot of the dysfunctional kids at Woodlawn currently come from the Gardere area. They will be redirected to Lee High when it reopens and Woodlawn will essentially the neighborhood school they so desire.
