It could only be a lie if they say "taxes will not go up". Can you not see the difference in "will not go up" and "shouldn't go up"?
Do you understand that their statement only refers to incorporation and not the future ISD?

So if you don't live in SG, why do you care if taxes go up? Is this the backbone of your argument? Would you be in favor of putting the future of SG up to a vote if they said taxes may or mAy not go up! Or is this just a fear provoking argument that you keep bringing up?

Hey this guy is mad due to he cannot put his name on a petition for the chance of this going to election.
I predict or assume a group of idiots will go marching through the St George area with tie die shirts beating on their tambourine's saying how crime will go up, insurance rates for fire protection will go up, and the schools will be worse than before.
Guess what they also assume the sky is falling.
Next we will see Al Gore making a speech on how letting the people get to vote on this is a bad un-American thing to do which will cause global warming.

Pure speculation on my part:
He knows the money that comes from outside subsidizes BR proper. He doesn't want the money to stop coming in.

We didn't tell voters inside the city of Baton Rouge how to vote on the CATS tax.
By the way how is the CAT's Tax working for you?
Let the people of ST George have a yes or no say if they want to become a city!

Bottom line you don't live in the area, so you should not have a say in this.
Next do you want us to have a say in the Texas Governors election or them to have a say in our Governors election?
If the people of St George vote to become a city and have to pay higher taxes that is on the people that will live in this area.

2013-14 school board budget.
This is separate and apart from the proposed city budget and the parish budget.
With the ratio of kids to schools there should be plenty of money to do things after reasonable legacy costs.

Because I didn't think you understood that there would be a different budget for the isd. From the way you post it appears you think the budget for the city would cover the schools as well.

I keep seeing people hint that the EBR schools are dangerous in some way and your kid's life will be in danger if you send them there. However, it seems like every time I hear about a school shooting, it's some middle-class suburban white kid, the same type of kid St. George schools would be trying to attract.
