The latest video evidence of police brutality in New York City comes not via a bystander with a smartphone but from good old-fashioned surveillance footage. DNAinfo has the disturbing tape showing two officers catching up to 16-year-old Kahreem Tribble in Bed Stuy, just after 2 a.m. on August 29. The first cop takes a big swing at Tribble’s face and misses. As the teen backs into a security grate with his hands up, the second officer runs up, gun drawn, and smashes him in the teeth with the weapon. Once on the ground, Tribble gets hit again.

In case you're wondering what the blue line had to say...
quote:

“As usual, the video fails to capture the offense that resulted in police action or the lengthy foot pursuit that culminated in the arrest,” said the police union rep charged with defending these guys in the press. “Situations like this one happen in real time under great stress. It’s very easy to be judgmental in the comfort of an office while sitting in front of a video screen.”

I reserve judgment until I see the kids arrest record.

Nothing necessarily justifies cops using that much force but it sure seems rare that cops are beating the shite out of completely innocent people.

Normally i would agree and defend the cops, but regardless of what this idiot did the cops crossed over the line about 5 times in that video including hitting him while he was cuffed and on the ground. This kid (who is probably a piece of crap) will get paid by the tax payers because these cops were fat idiots who were pissed they had to run.

Often I see people here saying they would like to kick the shite out of some tpos "if I find the guy that broke into my truck I'm gonna kick his arse" seems to be a common theme here.

In this case you see tax dollars at work. Paid officers take a young criminal who likely has just victimized somebody and provide the arse kicking and eliminating the need for the victim to have to get their hands dirty.

Doesn't matter if he just murdered an entire family, the dude had surrendered. I've seen much worse from cops though.

And those cops BMI's must have averaged 34, 35 among the 3 of them.

The cops in this country are losing a PR war they don't even know they're in.

I can't excuse any of their actions in this video - other than I'm presuming they had probable cause to make an arrest.

Why was the hood rat with his pants below his arse running? Too bad they didn't use a night stick on that hood rat.

his age shouldn't matter. he was taller than both the cops.

lesson: don't run from the cops. the last punch on the ground was overboard but if he just stopped and talked to them this wouldn't have happened.

That's the money shot. They might have talked their way out of the rest of their actions. But suspect cuffed, on the ground, not resisting and fat boy hits him in the face with a bag of donuts. They can't argue that one as anything other than excessive force.

But in all seriousness every action they took on that video was bad and reeked of excessive force. It really doesn’t matter what the shithead did.

Because most cops are fat pussies that can only get a good hit in when someone is cuffed and on the ground.

The double standard is hilarious. It was especially evident during the knockout game shite. A video would be posted of kids getting what they deserved after playing the knockout game and the guy who gave them what they deserved would be praised to high heaven. When a cop does it, without even knowing what the kid did, the cop is a TPOS.

It does matter. If the suspect did something bad and then the cops finally catch up to him, I salute and appreciate the cops doing a little street justice prior to the attorneys stepping in.
