Also not true. JD Power is owned by a private equity firm out of China that also owns chemical and healthcare companies. Has nothing to do with General Motors.

Ford is a horribly run company that is not even remotely competitive outside of pickup trucks in the US market. They have lost a lot of ground in Europe and they are 20 years behind VW and GM in China.

Ford does not win awards because they suck. It’s not some conspiracy against them. It’s just reality.

Anyone who buys a car because they won some "initial quality" award deserves what they bought.

I agree with most every thing you said; however, Ford didn't take a bail-out in 2008 when all the other car manufacturers were begging the Fed for hand outs.

It’s well documented that Ford has taken government subsidies.

I literally know no one that knows about, or gives a shite about JD Power awards.

Those Chevy commercials are the worst ones on the planet.

This actually made me laugh. It's funny because it's true.

And just because Ford is a shitty company, that doesn't improve anything GM puts out. GM knowingly sold lemons in this country for decades, and will go right back to that if given a chance.

It's amazing how stupid and ignorant some of you are.

3 Fords and 2 GMs in the top 20 sellers in the US for 2018 so far. Jeep is actually outperforming BOTH GM and Ford right now simply because trucks and SUVs are where the market is at right now, outside of the cars that always sell well, the Camry and the Accord and such.

What he said isn’t stupid or ignorant and what you said sort of supports his original statement. Trucks and SUV’s are where it’s at in the US market. Consequently Ford’s top sellers are the F series, Explorer, and Escape. They do poorly with cars and as a result are withdrawing from the segment...but so does every domestic manufacturer.

No it is not. It is owned by XIO Group, who purchased the company from McGraw Hill.

Wrong, what he said was that Ford was doing poorly in comparison to GM specifically except with SUVs and trucks. And that's just not true at all. Neither GM nor Ford are selling a lot of cars in the US right now, both are truck heavy.

When comparing Ford to GM sales, you need to consider that Chevy and GMC are basically the same truck.

When you compare Ford sales to a combined GMC/Chevy sales then you get the real picture.

No he didn’t. He said Ford is not competitive outside of pickup trucks which is mostly true. Include SUV’s with pickup trucks and Ford is not competitive. I think you agree with that, so not sure what’s stupid or ignorant about it.

anyone that buys a ford or chevy non truck/SUV is a moron.

If it weren't for so many companies using american cars as their company vehicle, the market would be even smaller.

Why someone would purchase a ford fusion over a camry or accord is beyond me. I immediately think you have no brain if you made that decision. Besides the fact that the quality and reliability heavily favors the Camry & Accord, they will also hold their value longer, and they all cost about the same up front. Just mind boggling decision to pick a Fusion or whatever chevy's pos comparable car is over Camry/Accord. If you want to be different, get an Altima.
