not true
this true
No one knows who actually is responsible for purchasing JD Power.
It is owned by XIO group out of china. They came up with $1.1B to buy it. No one knows who backed the cash they came up with to make that purchase. A lot of shady stuff surrounding that company and the purchase.
How J.D. Power Was Acquired by a Chinese Company Shrouded in Mystery
quote:
Most XIO employees knew little about where its funding came from.
quote:
Nine of the former XIO employees who left said they were skeptical that XIO had a fund containing money from many separate institutions, which is what they said they were led to believe when they joined. The former employees, at least three of whom worked on the J.D. Power deal, said XIO was more secretive about its investors than other firms where they have worked. XIO staff appeared on one occasion to give differing accounts of who funds its deals. When a Moody’s Investors Service credit officer met with XIO staff after the deal announcement to discuss debt ratings for J.D. Power, he was told XIO’s investors were Chinese, according to the Moody’s officer, Edmond DeForest. A Deloitte accountant got a different response weeks later when he referred to XIO’s “China resident investors” in an email to XIO that was reviewed by the Journal. “There may be a misconception. The investors into the XIO fund are not primarily Chinese,” XIO partner Carsten Geyer replied.

if you look further you will see JD Power is fully owned by a subsidiary of general motors
Where are you getting this? It was a private company until 2005 when McGraw Hill (now S&P Global) bought it. Then in 2011 a Chinese company the XIO Group bought it. Neither of these companies have any affiliation with GM. I did some cursory research and do not see any link between JD Powers and GM.
Also here are the awards Ford currently has:
quote:
Ford Expedition Highest Ranked Large SUV in Initial Quality in 2017
Ford F-150 Highest Ranked Vehicle Appeal among Large Light Duty Pickups in 2017
Ford Mustang Highest Ranked Midsize Sporty Car in Initial Quality in 2017
Ford Super Duty Highest Ranked Vehicle Appeal among Large Heavy Duty Pickups in 2017
All-in-all, I'd say nothing in your post is true whatsoever.

When comparing Ford to GM sales, you need to consider that Chevy and GMC are basically the same truck.
When you compare Ford sales to a combined GMC/Chevy sales then you get the real picture.
and Ford includes the entire F series when talking about how they're the highest selling truck. There have been plenty of years Chevy & GMC combined to sell more but they've just let Ford make the claim. I was watching a documentary about trucks recently and they talked about this.

i just looked.... and i do not see this. It is owned by a Chinese firm XIO Group.
So why are you lying.
Triggered because Ford doesn't win anything.
I remember Dodge Ram Diesel winning a JD Power award once in the 1990s for highest customer satisfaction. It was on their advertisements for years.
Chevrolet won similar awards in 4 categories for 2-3 years in a row. So we get to hear about that for the next decade.

The dude is an actor named Potsch Boyd.
What in the hell is a "Potsch"? That might be the douchiest name I have ever heard.

And it’s initial quality. The one that counts is when they give it out after three to five years of use.
