The Evolution Of The OT

Is it me or has the OT changed? Maybe I am just getting older, but this place used to be a free for all.
There were certain threads that once they were started you knew that person was going to get destroyed.
Last night someone started a thread posting some bullshite they got off of social media and I told them it wasn't funny and people lost their shite because I said that.
It seems like there was always something going on. Some type of drama that was more entertaining than anything on TV. So has the board evolved with time? Has it become more sensitive like the rest of the world?
