Who cares? We're all going to die and all legacies will be wiped out regardless. Just live your life.

What if the speed of light is infinite in one direction and we see everything as it currently is. Speed of light can only be measured on round trips so what we know as the speed of light may just be it’s round trip average.

The sun could explode and we wouldn’t know it for like 10 minutes.

If we did know, I would spend that 10 minutes starting a thread to tell you that you were wrong.

Nah. Humanity will be extinct before any of that shite happens. Even if you take the most optimistic outcome humanity will have evolved into something that is totally unrecognizable.

The farthest observation is 13.5billion light years away. Everything out there could have been exploding for billions of years before now and we wouldn’t know it yet.

Actually.

We will never know what is happening at the corner of the universe from Earth.

At those ranges, space cumulatively is growing faster than the speed of light.

So the distance from the source to here is growing faster than the speed of light cam reduce it.

Would we know if the edge of the universe was touching itself? Can anyone definitively say that dark matter isn’t galactic ejaculate?

Nope. Humans will be flourishing in the Delta Quadrant after our sun becomes a red giant. When Andromeda and the Milky Way collide, we will flourish in the Sagittarius Galaxy.

And it's expanding faster and faster and we don't know why.

My theory as to why this is happening is because the universe is finite (think bubble) and as more and more material collects the against barrier between universes, the gravitational force increases, so things aren't expanding faster and faster because they being pushed, they are being pulled.
Now what happens, is when the material in one universe and the material in the adjoining universe become thick enough, the barrier between them collapses resulting in a "Big Bang" and we start over.

Whenever life gets you down, Mr. ByteMe,
And things seem hard or tough,
And people are stupid, obnoxious or daft,
And you feel that you've had quite eno-o-o-o-o-ough,

Just remember that you're standing on a planet that's evolving
And revolving at 900 miles an hour.
It's orbiting at 19 miles a second, so it's reckoned,
The sun that is the source of all our power.
Now the sun, and you and me, and all the stars that we can see,
Are moving at a million miles a day,
In the outer spiral arm, at 40,000 miles an hour,
Of a galaxy we call the Milky Way.

Our galaxy itself contains a hundred billion stars;
It's a hundred thousand light-years side to side;
It bulges in the middle sixteen thousand light-years thick,
But out by us it's just three thousand light-years wide.
We're thirty thousand light-years from Galactic Central Point,
We go 'round every two hundred million years;
And our galaxy itself is one of millions of billions
In this amazing and expanding universe.

Our universe itself keeps on expanding and expanding,
In all of the directions it can whiz;
As fast as it can go, at the speed of light, you know,
Twelve million miles a minute and that's the fastest speed there is.
So remember, when you're feeling very small and insecure,
How amazingly unlikely is your birth;
And pray that there's intelligent life somewhere out in space,
'Cause there's bugger all down here on Earth!

Question is, if it is exploding, will it outpace the sun going red giant and swallowing the earth in 5 billion years?

Our brains are not able to fathom how inconsequential the Earth being swallowed by our sun is to the universe at large.

Limit To How Far We Can Go

This is an interesting clip that touches on the concept of the universe expanding.

The earth's orbit would begin to deviate immediately since there is no limit to the speed of gravity. Some astronomers would know very quickly.

The edge of the universe could be cosmically transforming into pink sea turtles and we wouldn't know...
