I swear this is giving me flashbacks to my dissolution proceedings, that bitch has the same mannerisms, narcissistic, snide attitude, and facial expressions as my disgustingly evil ex, who was also bipolar, as well as having borderline personality disorder, she even slightly resembles her

Those glasses can’t hide the eye rolls she claims she never does.

And I’m sure her attorneys are thrilled to keep receiving her irrational rambling chicken scratch sticky notes.

You know by now they are ready for this to be over just to get away from her and her insanity.

So outside of the money are they regretting accepting her case? Did they expect them to settle and realized they were on a run away freight train of insanity or did they expect this coming in?

again, this is flashbacking me my ex was a shitty client and I'm sure her attorneys were sick of her shite but they were convinced, and they convinced her, that it didn't matter what the tab was going to be because I would be on the hook for it, there were something like eight attorneys in that firm that touched that case and they ran up a bill of right at $120k(around twenty years ago,) I never paid a penny, and neither did she, so there was a modicum of justice

The attorney for my dad's second wife convinced her she could get a big settlement even though they were only married three years, had no children, and my father was already retired and living off investments and not a pension when they married. It aggravated my Dad's attorney(Who posted on here many years ago) enough where they made a motion to go after his wife's income because the way her pension was paid made it attachable. My dad had her drop the attempt because he just wanted it over but I would love to have been there when the ex-wife found out.

Guys, what’s the chances the jury picks a foreman, deliberates and reaches a verdict today? They if they don’t then they resume next Tuesday. You know they wanna be done with this shite!!!

yeah, I was thinking that might be a possibility too, the judge was giving them instructions yesterday planning well into next week, never know the thought process of a jury though, I guess

seems like the timing will be jury starts deliberations around roughly 3 PM eastern... and with the court not providing dinner for the jury today... they either get a verdict for a 6 week trial within like 3 hours or they go home to come back on Tuesday

I think they'll be coming back Tuesday

I would be shocked. Im thinking Tuesday or Weds.

But then again, there is a long weekend coming up and they have been at it for 6 weeks.

Jury service is only tolerable when they get quality take out. If I was in this jury, I’d be pissed.

If they deliberate past supper time then I guess we know they are trying to get it done today!

I'm kind of fantasizing right now, but there's no law against dreaming! I would love to see a verdict returned in about 30 minutes giving Depp a slam dunk victory and doubling his asking price just to wacth that count explode(implode?)

Ben Chew's closing was like "this ain't about the money... this is about reputation"

that's a siren song to the jury saying "find for our plaintiff and just give him $1... that's fine by us"

and honestly... if the jury does come back for Depp and $1 award... if I'm Depp I'm getting that dollar framed and putting it in the most prominent place in my house... a place I look every single fricking day

I think someone mentioned that a few pages back, I'm sort of getting a similar vibe and as the previous poster said, I think Depp would be ecstatic with that, he would have accomplished his goal, re-established some cred in his line of work, and it wouldn't be worth an appeal

In long trials, we get together with the other side and jointly pay for catering.

It’s common around here for the parties to alternate paying for takeout, but not tell the jury who is paying. We’ve used Jason’s Deli (the cheap side) to pretty good Italian takeout. I would imagine the jury in this case could get something good.
