The people at The Weather Channel were likely giddy that they finally got a storm.
‘We hope no one was injured. Hopefully the storm doesn’t hit. Etc.’
None of that is true. Misery means money.

So you think TWC executives are hoping for people to have major property damage and/or get hurt or even die?
Seems like a stretch, brotato chip.

If they’re willing to fake it, why is it a bridge too far to think they’d internally root for the worst storms possible?

Why do they have batting helmets on?

Yes x1000. The more damage and destruction, the more views and clicks (=money) they get. Do you really think they aren't hoping for a major storm to hit?

The Weather Channel has reached soap opera level drama. They desperately need a management shakeup and get back to weather news not hype.

This was the first Atlantic storm for ‘26 and they were fired up.
Big ratings. Millions watching.
