Currently live
Guy goes into the Marxist and Soviet roots of MLK Jr, J. Edgar Hoover, Liberation Theology, and the failures inherent in the Civil Rights movement of the 50's and 60's
Extremely well read gentleman who sources thoroughly
Long, but well worth it
I got my Master's in Post reconstruction Civil Rights History, so this is like freebasing uncut joy

It always fascinated me
Mainly the dichotomy of du Bois and Washington. But also the effective pro-American leaders like Roy Wilkins, Thurgood Marshall, James Farmer, and my personal favorite Medger Evers.

Oh Oh! You get it? Ya get it?
because it's worthless and totally impossible to retire in peace after 27 years.
Enjoy the roof, though!

It's been long-known that MLK, Rosa Parks, various famous riots etc. were organized by communists
95% of the black history that gets paraded around every year is bullshite, specifically the inventors. It's all easily debunked wewuzzery. Makes me sad.

I’ll give this a listen. No one else in American history besides George Washington has been deified as much as MLK. He did great things for a while. Most people forget or don’t know that he had a negative opinion rating by blacks and whites when he died. Oh yeah, he spent his last night on earth with his mistress. Which I what I thought of when Boston taxpayers paid for that ridiculous sculpture of MLK and his wife hugging. He was a terrible husband.
I still have a lot of respect for his accomplishments in Civil Rights. I think he peaked with the March on Washington. His later speeches are all wrapped up in social justice and minimum living wage stuff.

Mine was in 60-70s labor history

Unions, lawsuits, deindustrialization, war on drugs, boomers entering the workforce, Vietnam, etc. etc.
Plus, that description was too specific. My concentration was in 20th century. But I spent most of my time on 60s-70s.

It is just so scathing
I promise to be so burned by your words at some future time.
Today I am booked up with enjoying the life I have made for myself and my family.
I hope that doesn't trouble you excessively

I decided to stay in the classroom. It seemed to me that professors only taught so they could write, attend symposiums, be on boards, work their way up in the bureaucracy and other stuff. I enjoy teaching.
I have totally hijacked this thread.
