There is no way to validate what Trudy White did in this case. Yet all of the black community that has come out of the woodwork on the Sterling story remains completely silent. No outrage here. No concern for the release of a rapist, one who raped an 8 year old girl, one guilty on 3 counts of rape.

Oh, but the death of a known black felon? Yes let's get worked up over that while ignoring the fact that the mighty Judge Trudy White is releasing this sick individual back into the public.

Ignoring trash like Trudy White and allowing her to run unchecked by the black community is not helping their cause. They want accountability? They better start demanding some within their own people.

I'll get a bunch of downvotes, but you are comparing apples and oranges.

It's about the perception of marginalization and feeling that law enforcement is out to get you.

You don't have to agree with how they handle themselves, and certainly not the inflammatory race baiters and agitators. But at least try and understand the issue.

Understanding different sides of issues is for the weak minded. If you want to win, you have to know one side and know that it's right no matter what.

The fact you expect anything diffirent is the problem. Good people of every race know why sterling was killed . Ignorance and people who take advantage of that ignorance are the main problems for the black community

It's not about the Alton Sterlings or Michael Browns. There is this feeling that police have itchy trigger fingers when confronting black people. The argument for many here, is that white people are being put in cop cars while blacks are put in body bags.

Of course the stats don't add up, but there is fear and anger in their community. That's what this is all about, but the media and powerful interest groups have let the whole thing jump the shark.

I've seen many very upset about it. Don't let a few people on social media confuse you. It'd be like saying The Tiger Rant is representative of all LSU students/ fans. The vocal idiots of any group gets the attention. The sane, measured ones aren't ever noticed.

Leaving work downtown around 6:30and everyone was out walking around, eating etc. Happy's running club was underway. All types of different people hanging out going on about life socializing.

A few years back, here in Louisville during the Kentucky Derby Festival, we used to have cruising on Broadway as an alternative to the "white" Derby Festival events. It was a largely black event in an area of town that was predominantly black. It got out of hand when "community leaders" demanded a smaller police presence, citing racism concerns, and the next thing you know you have multiple murders and looting. In their own fricking neighborhood.

Two of the stores that were looted were mom and pop stores that had been in the area and owned by black families for 50+ years. Absolutely destroyed within a few hours of looting. But instead of raising up the people who had run legitimate, successful businesses in the area there was a large outcry that racism by local government was "shutting down the black part of the Derby Festival".

It makes it incredibly hard to support the betterment of a community who doesn't even raise up the best parts of their communities.

Yea the only people expressing "faux-outrage" at this black judges ruling, as deplorablen as it is, are race-baiting/racism deniers like OP and his whiteflight fear brigade. MAYBE if OP wasnt trying to leverage for political discourse it would be different

How about we start by no longer grouping all blacks together as if we have some hive mentality. All over this city blacks and everybody else is going along with their day with no issues. This is the case every single day.

Instead of living in that reality, people choose to raise up the ignorant individuals who bark the loudest and decide to allow them to speak for the whole.

Ignorance and foolishness comes in all shapes, sizes, and shades. There are people on this very board who defended Dylan Roof, does anyone here think they speak for you because they share the same level of melanin as you do?

The O-T is very anti white guilt, which I get, yet you would turn around and expect people of other races and religions to fall over themselves to appease you in how they should respond every time someone who shares a similarity with them does something bad. frick that noise.

I will lose no sleep of Alton Sterling, and if you are waiting for me to beg some ignorant people who happen to be black to calm down because they are upsetting some white people, well you can just wait on that.

And while I disagree with all of the decision, the OT discussion of this is leaving out the fact he will be sentenced on June 1st. He wasn't "set free", his bond was substantially reduced to go care for his mother BEFORE he goes to prison for a long time. Still wrong, but different narrative

Actually when the mayor places those very loud mouths on her official transition team, it sort of ups the ante of what the black community is embracing. So sorry if I disagree with you there.

They have openly defended her and her decision. It only shows the blind support they have for their race and complete hypocrisy
