6'2" and stay between 225 & 230

Wish I could get back down to below 220, but at almoat 56, I believe my "no belly' days are over. I excercise every day. Both weights and walking. Still cannot lose that little pounce.

That’s hard to believe. I’m 6’ 1” tall and 175 pounds, and I’m a man.

Weight doesn't matter. All about body composition

That is too abstract of a concept for 99.99% of the population, which includes all of the fatties. Body weight and height (BMI), are easily quantifiable and usable metrics that are close enough to an accurate measurement of where one’s weight ought to be for most people.

Now pair that with the average male, 5 feet 9 inches and 195.

There is a reason there are a lot of short, stupid, fat kids running around.

I mean I agree, I'm just saying its not always the case. Most of the gen pop, does not workout routinely and if you took your average 5'3 170 pound female, she is likely overweight.

But there are exceptions.

For females 100 lbs for the first 5 feet with 5 pounds for every inch over that.

That’s honestly not a bad scale for a large portion of the population that doesn’t train. It would put some people at or well below 10% body fat, but they’re also not a member of the 99% of people who haven’t sniffed a hard workout since high school PE.

I've never heard either of these but I would say that 6 is too low and 9 is a bit high. 7 or 8 probably would allow for a pretty muscular build. Im 6'4 240 and still want to get down to 225 and, while I am covered in fat, I am strong as an ox still.

Back to the OP, that is crazy that the average woman is 5'3 170 but it is believable. there are so many people who have zero control and only want to make excuses for themselves instead of just owning it.

...but just barely. Of course BMI is only one metric (and it is valid for the vast majority of folks - it is a running joke on the OT of how the fatasses try to downplay their own out of control BMI on the high side). You've got a better problem to have, overall, being stuck at the lower range of BMI.

To put the OP in perspective - 5'3", 170 is not overweight - that's clinically obese. That means the "average" American woman is obese.
